PROLOG

A bloodied soldier reaches his hand out, gasps and says
,"WAIT!!
Killing me won't end this war!  You know that it wont!!. His opponent pauses, with grim resolve he replies, "And neither will letting you live! Our fates were sealed, long ago". Violently stabbing his opponent in the head.
He rips the badge from his dead enemies body stares at it and keeps it as a souvenir.

 

CHAPTER 1

In a world of conflict and turmoil, two realms existed in an uneasy balance. The world Above and the world below,
The above realm, a place of beauty and splendor, was inhabited by a race of fierce warriors. Under the leadership of General Kräthor, they grew strong and prosperous.
The world Below was a paradox of fear, and fascination.teeming with an unusual menagerie. Each entity reflecting wildlife of the plains, yet transfigured into a formidable, supernatural version of itself. This domain was under the sovereign rule of the mighty hippo, Heshire.


Between these 2 realms lay a layer of damp earth, where the boundaries between the worlds were blurred. , It is said that the creatures of the earth often lurked, waiting to strike at unwary travelers. Despite the danger, there were those who dared to cross the divide between the worlds. Some did so to explore the mysteries, while others sought to challenge the warrior of the Above.

And so the balance between the realms remained, tenuous and ever-shifting, as the forces clashed.

The world Above

The warriors of the World Above hailed from 70 noble tribes, each distinguished by their unique insignias, battle techniques, and ancestral stories. These tribes formed a tapestry of cultures and languages, with 70 distinct tongues representing their heritage. However, to foster unity and facilitate communication, three main languages had emerged as common tongues spoken and understood by all.

The most notable tribe was the M'cata . Unlike the tribes of the World Below, The M'cata Wene was a matriarchal society, their leaders - men - were chosen through the female lineage, a unique tradition. Kräthor was the son of a chief N'Kasa from the M'cata tribe.


The physical appearance of the warriors  radiated with an otherworldly glow. A pristine white that shimmered like lightning streaks, occasionally tinged with yellow and pale blue hues. Towering above ordinary mortals, they stood at an average height of 7 feet.

Their eyes, a shade of purple, sparkled with an inner intensity.  Their pupils appeared as infinite wells of darkness. A distinguishing mark of their heritage was a small black birthmark, in the shape of a diamond, adorning random locations on their bodies. Each birthmark held a unique significance, believed to be a blessing or a connection to their tribe's lineage.


Within the tribes, there were stories of phenomena and beings of great power.  The warriors revered these stories as sacred lore, seeking to unlock their secrets and draw upon the ancient wisdom.

The World Below

In the deepest, most hidden corners of the cosmos, there existed a realm of awe-inspiring profundity - the world Below.
Riddled with gangs, revolutionaries, and poverty the world below was a power vacuum waiting to happen. Heshire filled that vacuum. He was a towering figure,  embodying raw power, his eyes radiating a deep, inscrutable cunning. His rule extended across a labyrinth of dark passages and yawning caverns, every nook and cranny filled with an assortment of supernatural creatures.

HUMANS

On the surface of the Earth, a primitive race of humans lived amongst the animals, The humans had their own legends and myths about the world Above and Below, but they had no real understanding. tales of apparitions and strange happenings started cropping up in their folklore. Deep within the forest, where the earth trembled, a once potent and volatile dark energy had begun to fade, settling and condensing into solid matter. The result was the formation of a towering edifice, an
impenetrable monolith - The Black Mountain. They believed that the rumblings and eruptions  were simply the work of the gods, and that they had no power to influence the course of events.
Over time a settlement grew around the base of the mountain in an area where the forest gave way to plain.
